Trust is an important thing, feelings of closeness and importance cannot happen with out it. In human society it is one of the hardest things to gain yet the easiest to lose (debate is still on whether Love has regained the #1 stop yet, the voters are still at the booths).
Why do I speak of something so important? Simple, cause I just brought up my bikeseat with the rack and lights attached cause I don’t trust people not to steal it while I’m away! Not that I’m judging yet I gotta protect my shit right?
I just turned in some forms today and bought some drugs to help sleep on the plane. The shuttles coming to get me at 2:30 so I have 5, but lets just say 4 to be safe, hours left before it comes. So I’m working on getting all my stuff together. My board bag is set, and the rest are also in near done status. No worries there. I have to clean my rooms though cause I don’t want to return to bugs and mold.
Just printed out some card to stick on my bags “in case of loss” slips hehe.
I went and saw Hitman with friends today and I must say, walking in to it I wasn’t sure what to think honestly. Most video game based movies do only so well or not well at all *cough* super mario bros *cough*. I was very wrong. The movie was much better than I thought it was going to be, excellent action, timely humor, and good acting.
I’m still packing, probably wont finish till tomorrow. I hope the shuttle will come to get me. I have to call the service tomorrow. I’m tired. hope I can get ready for tomorrow.
OK I have my board packed in its pretty new board bag I bought yesterday. It’s so beautiful it makes me shed a tear. I got all my snow gear to fit in it as well, boots, coat, pants, the works. There still is some space left even. I like that this bag has both a shoulder strap as well as backpack straps so it’ll be easy to carry.
Now I’m pondering if I should take my largest broke ass suitcase home as I’m just gonna pitch it when I get there anyway as the bottom is ripped open somewhat and the wheels are crap or take my small bags as carryon and a duffel checked. I’m more and more thinking about not taking the big one home with me as it is broken and I dont want to deal with it, yet hmmm I’m still at loss. I think I should get all the clothes I’m going to take home and then I can see how much space I’m actually going to need. I have to a decent amoutn of clothes back but not to much. I need my nice clothes and a couple of more casual stuff. I have clothes at home, but I haven’t worn them for a few years and really its cause its from a stage in my life thats over. Besides my clothes now look way better than my old clothes.
Could it be possible? Could I be an explorer? and adventurer? That’s a good question….I guess I would have to get off my ass though and go somewhere. I think I know what I want to do after spring semester, that being once I move out and put my gear in a storage closet get on my bike and ride, ride like the wind. circumnavigate the island!!
Designing this site is taking a whole lot longer than I thought it would, it’s certainly not something as easy as I thought it was going to be.
>> run away!!
I spent my day today over at the Borders at Ward mall. They have a Starbucks up on the second floor so I chilled up there. I was reading my new book 1421 about the circumnavigation and discovery of America by the Chinese. It’s not only a good read but a quick one. I’m impressed with the background investigation that the author goes into. I’m already halfway through the book (there’s 500+ pages in it).
One thing I noticed a lot when I was sittin there was the number of people who would go get a book from the shelves sit down and read the book in Starbucks (w/o buying it mind you) and then just leaving it there and not putting it back where they got it. It really annoyed me because Borders is not a library, I pick books of the shelves and read them just to get an idea about what the books about but I always stay there and put the book back after I’m done reading it. How the people there were going it was just disrespectful and childish.
I also picked up the new novel by H. Turtledove, Opening Atlantis. It’s an alternate view on history in a “what if” story and I’m looking forward to reading it. I don’t think I’ll get a chance to read it here but I’m going to be taking a couple books back to Ohio with me to read as I’m sure I’ll have plenty of time to do so.
This being the first post in the blog is monumental!! Well not so much, but the design is going to go through a lot of changes in the next few weeks. I think the best way to get the result I want is to actually sketch it out and then digitally save the work on my computer and then upload it to the site after I color, clean, etc the image. Had I a Waicom tablet i could do it straight to the computer but as I am poor I have to do it the old fashion way. I want the design quality to be of high quality and not something that’s generic that everyone has or looks like crap. Well see how this works out.
